Michael Steelman, M.D.
Michael Steelman, M.D. has been recognized as one of the most respected weight management authorities in America.
He is board certified in bariatric medicine (weight management), family medicine and anti-aging, as well as certified in neuro-linguistic programming. He has helped more than 20,000 Oklahomans with weight disorders during his 35-plus years in private practice.
Steelman has served as past president of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP) (LINK), and has twice been named Bariatrician of the Year by the association, and serves as editor of the American Journal of Bariatric Medicine. ASBP is a professional medical society of over 1,000 licensed physicians specializing in the medical treatment of obesity and its associated conditions. It was formed in 1950.
ASBP also created an educational award in honor of Steelman, naming the award after him and member-peer Dr. Harold C. Seim, M.D., of Minneapolis, Minn.
In addition, Steelman has served on the board of advisors for the American Obesity Association, as medical director of the state’s first inpatient eating disorder program at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City and has served as an advisor to former U.S. Surgeon General C. Everett Koop,
He earned a degree in zoology from Oklahoma State University and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1973. Steelman then served his internship at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. After practicing family medicine in Holdenville and El Reno, Steelman opened his clinic in Oklahoma City in 1978.

Kathryn Anne Hall, D.O.
Kathryn Anne Hall, D.O., graduated from Oklahoma State College of Medicine in 1990. She spent three years as a resident at Southwestern Medical School at the University of Texas, as well as one year as an intern at Tulsa Regional Medical Center.
Hall was named Outstanding Senior Resident in 1995, earned the President’s Award-Academic Excellence in 1990, the Glasgow Award as Top Student, also in 1990, and was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Society. She is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP).
From 1995-2003, Hall was a staff neurologist with Warren Clinic.
“After a successful eight-year practice in neurology, my desire was to expand my medical expertise and enter the practice of bariatrics,” she said. “It is my good fortune to work with Dr. Steelman, who is one of the premiere physicians in the practice of bariatric medicine. My goal is to emulate Dr. Steelman in the practice of bariatric medicine so that I may provide my patients with quality and caring medical attention."

Mindy Simon, P.A.-C
Mindy Simon is a certified physician assistant who has always made fitness and health a part of her lifestyle. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2002 and a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2006, where she was named Outstanding Student in clinical rotations.
She has experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as in total hip and total knee replacement. Simon is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Physician Assistants, the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP).
“Fitness and a healthy lifestyle have always been a part of my life,” she said. “I would like to help you incorporate these same standards into your life. We will become a team to reach your goals and by working together we will be successful.”
